how to Join A Union
"In our glorious fight for civil rights, we must guard against being fooled by false slogans, such as "right to work". It provides no 'rights' and no 'works.' Its purpose is to destroy labor unions and the freedom of collective bargaining."
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Without a union contract, the law considers workers to be "at will" employees who may be fired, reassigned, or demoted for any reason or no reason at all.
People who join unions find soon enough that they are no longer just interested in "what's in it for me" but in the overall improvement of themselves, their coworkers, their families, and the societies in which they live. Solidarity improves standards of living for all.
